Match number: 2802Two second half goals from Farncombe United condemned Weysiders Reserves to a third successive league defeat at Shalford Park. The game was not one that will live long in the memory as Weysiders squandered the opportunity to move away from the bottom of the table. Much of the first half was played at a slow tempo with opportunities at a premium. Farncombe had the better intent, but couldn't convert it into any meaningful chances. At the other end there was a goal for Gino Raccuglia marginally ruled out for offside after a composed spin and finish. The home side then thought they had a penalty after a tackle on Freddie Richards but the referee adjudged the defender won the ball. Weysiders Reserves started the second half better, with more energy and a desire to play the ball forward quickly. But it was the visitors who found the breakthrough. A long ball forward was met by goalkeeper Ash Bradbury on the edge of the box; however, the Farncombe striker had other ideas and nicked the ball and slotted into an empty net, with the home crowd calling for a foul on the keeper. Despite the increased tempo, chances were still at a premium, the best of which fell to Glenn Noble, who from couldn't convert as the ball fell to him inside the box. Just moments later Farncombe United doubled their lead. An innocuous back-pass to Bradbury was unfortunately miskicked, giving the Farncombe striker the opportunity to lob the stranded keeper to make it 2-0. From thereon in the visitors would see out the game and earn their second league win of the season and the double over Weysiders Reserves.
